1889-1943Nacido en San Diego, William S. Van Dyke fue actor infantil, tanto de vodevil como, despues, de cine. No nos encontramos ante un realizador genial y creativo sino, por el contrario, ante un hombre con un alto grado de profesionalidad, minucioso, incapaz de estropear una buena historia y, en muchos casos, perfectamente capaz de elevarla por encima de su nivel.
